Following the same pattern and gesture of the Holy Prophet, Muslims would visit their loved ones’ graves and seek forgiveness for their departed.

Significance of Shab e Barat

Each year, Shab-e-Barat falls on the 15th of the Shuban month, smack dab in the middle of the month. As well as the 15th Shuban is celebrated all through the night of the 14th Shuban (which begins at the setting sun).

Muslims consider that during the night of Shabe Barat, the fate of all living beings is being determined by Allah S.w.t. Not only that but last year’s actions are turned in as well. That’s why a lot of Muslims beg and perform Shabe Barat Nawafsl to Allah S.w.t for compassion and forgiveness on this night since it’s considered one of Allah’s favours. As it is considered the “Night of Forgiveness”, Shab e Barat is another name for this festival.
